How to Get a Grenada Passport?
There are five routes to become a Grenadian citizen and get a passport. These routes include:
- By birth: Regardless of your parents’ nationality, you can obtain citizenship if you are born in Grenada.
- By descent: If one of your ancestors is from Grenada, you can claim citizenship.
- By naturalization: If you have lived in Grenada for at least 7 years, you can apply for citizenship.
- By marriage: If your spouse is a citizen of Grenada for at least 3 years, you can get citizenship through marriage.
- By investment: If you make a qualifying donation to available options, you can obtain Grenadian citizenship through investment.
Grenada Passport Requirements
Considering applying for a Grenada Passport, here is what you need to know:

Grenada Passport Application
The passport application for Grenada is a straightforward process. You need to gather the necessary documents and submit them to the Immigration and Passport Department, embassy or consulate. The process will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

Grenada Passport Cost
If you are planning to get a Grenada passport, you need to cover the application fees. There are two types. The first type is for citizens older than 18, which is valid for 10 years. The second one is for those below 18, which is valid for 5 years

- If you are younger than 18: $250
- If your passport is stolen, damaged, or lost: $700
Grenada Passport Renewal Process
The renewal process for the Grenada passport requires submitting some documentation:
- Submit two recent (within 6 months) passport photos. One must be endorsed by a notary public or attorney-at-law (not a relative).
- Children under 16 need written parental/legal guardian consent.
- Submit a birth certificate
- Marriage or divorce certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate of Naturalization/Registration (if applicable)
- A current or expired passport
- Fees (payable separately via money order or certified check):
- 18 years and older: $350
- Minors (under 18): $250
- Return shipping (within USA): $20
- Return shipping (outside USA): $60
- 18 years and older, if the passport is lost, stolen, or damaged: $700
- Under 18 years, if the passport is lost, stolen or damaged: $500
