In reply to Grace. Yes, you have to pay taxes in Portugal, but you can benefit from double taxation agreement between Portugal and US, so that you do not have to pay taxes twice on the same income.

Do you have specialist available to assist in the D7 process? I am a US citizen but I have been working in Germany for the last 10 years. I would like to retire in Madeira. I have retirement income and stock savings. I am also purchasing a house there in Madeira.
